Although Indiana doesn’t technically have a state animal, they do have a state bird: the Cardinal! If you have a garden you may have seen these crimson feathery friends flying around, they’re pretty common. What’s uncommon about these birds, though, is that the females sing just as prettily as the males, which is atypical in the bird world.
