KNIGHT GAMES – JOUSTING is a spectacular 2026 collector coin dedicated to one of the most iconic competitions of the medieval world: the jousting tournament. Issued by the Cook Islands and struck from 1 Oz of Silver, this impressive release combines historical imagery, detailed engraving and an innovative visual perspective. The reverse places the viewer directly inside the action of a medieval tournament. The scene is framed by the shape of a knight’s helmet visor, creating the extraordinary impression of seeing the joust through the eyes of an armored warrior. Through the narrow opening, a mounted knight charges forward with his lance lowered, preparing for the decisive impact. The horse is shown in full movement while spectators gather along the tournament barriers and medieval structures rise in the background. Heraldic symbols appear across the helmet, including a traditional shield and a cross motif, reinforcing the authentic medieval atmosphere. The lower part of the design reproduces the ventilation holes of the helmet, completing the immersive first-person perspective. Subtle selective coloration enhances the central jousting scene, drawing attention to the knight, horse and tournament ground while maintaining the predominantly silver character of the surrounding armor. The opposite side presents a richly detailed medieval composition featuring an armored knight kneeling with his sword planted before him. Behind him appear a castle, tournament spectators and heraldic elements, creating a scene that evokes the chivalric traditions of medieval Europe. The design also pays tribute to William Marshal, 1st Earl of Pembroke, one of the most celebrated knights of the Middle Ages, whose name and legacy are referenced around the outer border. The effigy of King Charles III appears alongside the inscriptions “COOK ISLANDS” and “5 DOLLARS”, confirming the legal tender status of the issue. The combination of historical storytelling, unusual helmet-view perspective and intricate medieval details makes KNIGHT GAMES – JOUSTING a distinctive collectible for enthusiasts of knights, tournaments and medieval history.
