Smartminting technology produced this work of art. The 3D Lunar Module is outstanding. The reverse of the coin features a beautiful and colored image of the Apollo 11 command module on the Moon, with stars moonscape, colored flag, and a colored Earth earth. The bottom of the reverse features the incredible Kapton foil insert. “THIS KAPTON FOIL PROVIDED THERMAL PROTECTION FOR THE APOLLO 11 COMMAND MODULE ON ITS FLIGHT TO THE MOON AND BACK”. But this is the special edition with a mintage of only 99 – those coins have an even rarer moon meteorite (DHOFAR1766). Coin comes as issued in a coin capsule, box and with certificate of authenticity (numbered between 01 and 99). The certificate number will be different than the one shown here. [CK92] Cook Islands 5 dollars Vatican Art Apollo Belvedere silver coin 2009. The masterpieces of art kept in the Vatican Museum are celebrated works of famous masters of painting and sculpture of the Renaissance mainly. Many antique statues discovered in that period are included to the collection too as the standards for the painters and sculptors of the Renaissance era. One of such statues is the white marble Apollo of the Belvedere, found in Italy in the late XV century. The beautiful statue now is kept at the Museum of Vatican in Rome. The silver 5-dollar coin of the unusual shape bears the relief image of Apollo on its reverse. The ancient Greek god wears gilded cloak, the spare space beside him is decorated with the line of blue crystals. The name of the masterpiece in Italian and the name of the whole series – Vatican Art – are indicated on the reverse too.
