This is the third edition of this successful abstract series. Inspired by the famous “Giant’s Causeway” in Ireland, hexagons of varying heights are distributed throughout the coin. In addition to this volcanic wonder on the Irish coast, naturally formed hexagons adorn our blue planet in a wide variety of locations. From the striking basalt columns of Devils Postpile National Monument in California to the basic shapes of snow crystals, juxtaposed soap bubbles, or, perhaps most famously, the beehive. This coin takes up the hexagon theme in an abstract way. Thanks to the smartminting® technique, countless polished and partially beveled hexagons create an exciting surface structure.
