Cook Islands 2013 $5 Imperial Egg in Cloisonné Easter Beauty in Red Silver Coin
Low Mintage limit – 2500!! Three different Eggs in Cloisonné: Red, Gold and Olive, These unique coins have been created by using enamel technique combined with delicate patterns and inserted crystals. They are handcrafted works of art in the world of coins. The Cloisonné-Eggs are inspired by the famous Fabergé-Eggs. The Russian tsar Alexander III commissioned the first Fabergé-Egg for his wife in 1885. She was so delighted, that from then on he gave his beloved a magnificent egg as a gift every Easter. After his death his son Nikolaus II continued the tradition and, up until the collapse of his reign in 1917, commissioned another 40 eggs. These works of art each came up with a surprise. Several miniatures such as eggs, trains or bouquets were embedded in them. Nice Authentic add to your collection. We are established and guarantee the authenticity of the products we sell.
